SWEDEN CHECKS IN WITH PASSION DISTRIBUTION FOR MORE PARADISE
Cannes (MIPTV), France, 8th April 2014 - Passion Distribution is thrilled to announce the continued success of its global hit format PARADISE HOTEL. Passion has finalised terms in Sweden which sees the territory produce its sixth season of the reality format.
With over 2000 episodes produced in over 12 territories, PARADISE HOTEL is one of Passion’s most popular formats. Originally produced by Mentorn Media for FOX and MY Network, the show sees eleven sexy, single people check in to a luxury hotel in paradise, where their every move is captured on a rig of fixed cameras. To stay in Paradise, guests pair up with a roommate of the opposite sex while the remaining guest is forced to live alone. At the end of the week, the roommates must switch partners. Amidst dramatic twists and tactical game-play, one of them is forced to leave and is replaced by a newcomer.
The format has had long running success in a number of territories, including Denmark (10 seasons) and Norway (6 seasons) both currently airing. With this latest deal in Sweden, PARADISE HOTEL has been on air in the territory for the past 9 years, still proving to be a hit. The show will air on MTG’s TV3 later this year.
