PASSION DISTRIBUTION SECURES DEALS AHEAD OF ATTENDING NATPE BUDAPEST
19th June, 2013 - Passion Distribution is pleased to announce a number of sales into Central and Eastern Europe ahead of NATPE Budapest next week. Placing over 350 hours of programming, Passion Distribution’s presence in the region continues to grow.
Poland remains a strong territory for Passion with factual programming being the most sought after. Most recently Puls TV picked up three one hour disaster documentaries, THE YEAR THE EARTH WENT WILD, HAITI’S KILLER QUAKE from Pioneer Productions and TSUNAMI: THE DAY THE WAVE STRUCK from Mentorn Media. TVN continue to licence the long running current affairs documentary series UNREPORTED WORLD, produced by Quicksilver Media, picking up the two latest seasons, season 24 (7 x 30’) and season 25 (8 x 30’). TVN has also licenced SEX CHANGE HOSPITAL (6 x 60’) produced by World Of Wonder, BABY BEAUTY QUEENS (1 x 60’) from Landmark Films, and MIRACLE MAN JOHN OF GOD (1 x 60’) from Figure 8 Films. Discovery has picked up THE TOWN THAT CAUGHT TOURETTES (1 x 60’) produced by Raw TV for Poland along with FRENEMIES: LOYALTY TURNED LETHAL season 2 (12 x 30’) after successfully running season 1 (11 x 30' & 1 x 60'). Produced by Atlas Media, FRENEMIES: LOYALTY TURNED LETHAL is the gripping crime and investigation series exploring the dramatic stories of friendships that have gone horribly wrong.
In Russia, Telekanal Mat I Ditya inked a deal which includes the Mentorn Media shows BABY ER (4 x 30’), and HAVING A BABY TO SAVE MY CHILD (1 x 60’) and the Landmark Films production MAKING FACES (3 x 60’). TV Cube LLC licenced 11 episodes of the highly acclaimed celebrity profile series ICONOCLASTS, produced for Sundance Channel.
Fem3 has picked up a number of Scripps Networks International cooking shows for Hungary, including ACE OF CAKES season 5 (13 x 30') and season 6 (12 x 30' & 1 x 60'), 5 INGREDIENT FIX season 4 and 5 (26 x 30’), and SECRETS OF A RESTAURANT CHEF season 4 (13 x 30’). Other deals include a Pan-CEE deal with Viasat for season 8 (10 x 60’) of ANIMAL 24:7 by True North Productions and a format deal with Inter in Ukraine who have produced a regional version of the Mentorn Media format DIET ON THE DANCE FLOOR, originally produced for Living TV in the UK.
