PASSION DISTRIBUTION SALES IN ASIA AHEAD OF ATF

London, 3rd December, 2014 - Ahead of ATF 2014, Passion Distribution is delighted to announce a raft of sales across Asia including SKIN WARS (9 x 60' and 8 x 60' digital series - also available as a format), UNREPORTED WORLD (197 x 30') and The Weather Channel titles SO YOU THINK YOU'D SURVIVE (8 x 60') and THE STRANGEST WEATHER ON EARTH season 2.
Japanese broadcaster Nippon has picked up SKIN WARS, the visually stunning competition show, hosted by actress Rebecca Romijn (X-Men, Ugly Betty), which seeks to find the most talented and versatile body painters in the country. RuPaul and body painting rock stars Craig Tracy and Robin Slonina are judges of this breakout hit. The first season grew 63% among women 18-49 and 42% among women 25-54 from its August 2014 premiere, and Season 1 wrapped with the GSN’s highest-rated finale ever. Season two has recently been confirmed.
KBS in Korea has licensed the Ebola special from season 28 of UNREPORTED WORLD. In this series reporters travel to dangerous and neglected regions introducing the viewer to extraordinary lives, people and events from around the globe. Recent episodes have included India’s Electric Dreams and the Surviving Ebola special reporting on one of the most dangerous jobs in the world – the health workers of Sierra Leone’s first dedicated Ebola treatment centre run by Medecin Sans Frontieres.
Further sales in the region include - SO YOU THINK YOU'D SURVIVE which has been licensed by Discovery for the whole of Asia and the second season of THE STRANGEST WEATHER ON EARTH) to Nippon in Japan. WORLD’S SCARIEST S1-3 (12 x 60’) has been picked up by Mediacorp in Singapore whilst MYSTERIES OF THE MUESEUM S1-3 has been sold to TVB in Hong Kong.

Passion’s exclusive distribution agreement with The Weather Channel yields more content with the free to air rights for BUILDING INVINCIBLE (3 x 60'). There is also the new series CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE SEA (7 x 60’) in which Charlie Luxton casts off on a journey in search of the finest, the quirkiest, the most spectacular and the most unusual homes around the UK’s coastline.
