August 26, 2011 - Independent distributor Passion Distribution is attending the upcoming BCWW TV Market in Korea with a significant aim towards showcasing its latest wealth of factual and lifestyle content at the event, which runs from the 31st August – 2nd September. Anita Barnard, Sales Manager for Asia at Passion Distribution stated “BCWW gives us a perfect opportunity to establish new partnerships with a diverse range of broadcasters, as well as continuing the strong relationships that we already have in place within Asia”. Korean Broadcasters have shown continued interest, with the second seasons of CUPCAKE WARS and GREAT FOOD TRUCK RACE being licensed by CJ Media, as well as STALKED, DESIGN STAR season 6 and LOVE/LUST for TCast, while Elle TV has licensed the fashion reality show ALL ON THE LINE. Passion’s sales growth within Asia is further highlighted with recent deals for 100 MILE CHALLENGE and BABIES BEHIND BARS to Japanese broadcasters NHK and Nippon TV, respectively. A proven sales history is also present within Thailand by Cineplex companies’ package of titles for channels True Explore and X-Zyte including SUPERSIZE GRIME, METORITE MAN season 1, CULTURE X series 3, ECO TRIP, LOVE/LUST, and continuing series CURIOUS & UNUSUAL DEATHS season 2 and GREAT FOOD TRUCK RACE season 2. This combined with a host of other deals into China, Hong Kong and India helps illustrate Passion Distribution’s reputation as one of the fastest growing independent distributors.
