PASSION DISTRIBUTION FORMATS TAKE BUYERS TO PARADISE!

27th June, 2013 - Passion Distribution is pleased to announce its continued success in formats, closing a number of new deals for the hit format PARADISE HOTEL and the WORST DRIVER franchise. Both long running formats are from Mentorn Media; PARADISE HOTEL was originally produced for Fox and MY network in U.S. and has since been produced in 12 territories; WORST DRIVER produced for Channel 5 has subsequently been produced in 17 territories.

PARADISE HOTEL is the reality format where eleven single people compete to stay in a luxury hotel in paradise by coupling up. Over 2000 episodes of the international hit PARADISE HOTEL have been produced worldwide and has seen long running success in a number of territories, namely in Denmark where Viasat has just commissioned Mastiff to produce season ten and eleven. Passion has also just closed a deal with Mastiff to produce season three in Sweden for TV6, and season six for TV3 in Norway. In Russia, Mastiff is producing the fifth season of the format for Pyatnitsa (formerly known as MTV Russia). The latest deals also include an option agreement to produce the format in Australia. Other territories to have produced the hit format PARADISE HOTEL are Slovenia (Paprika Latino for TV Planet), Hungary (Mastiff for Viasat 3), Czech Republic and Slovakia (TV Joj for TV Joj and Prima Love), Netherlands (SBS for VT4) and Belgium (SBS for Veronica).

WORST DRIVER has also seen long running success in a number of territories, the format is the hilarious search for the country’s most appalling driver with the contestants competing in a series of driving challenges. Most recently, Discovery Canada has commissioned a ninth season of CANADA’S WORST DRIVER and Nordisk is producing a subsequent season for MTV3, Finland. In Sweden, five seasons were produced by Mastiff for TV4, in both Belgium (RTBF) and Poland (Golden Media, formerly known as Mastiff, for Puls TV) three seasons were produced and two seasons were produced in both Denmark (Mastiff for TV2) and in the Netherlands (Skyhigh TV for BNN). Territories to also produce the format include Brazil (TV Globo), France (Endemol for M6), USA (A.Smith & Co Productions for Travel Channel), Austria (ORF), Portugal (D & D Audiovisuais for SIC), Romania (TV Prima), New Zealand (TVNZ), Australia (Seven), and Switzerland (TSR).
