PASSION DISTRIBUTION FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT AND LIFESTYLE SALES IN CEE

Budapest, Tuesday 25th June – At Natpe Budapest, Passion Distribution has announced a raft of sales of over 130 hours of factual entertainment, lifestyle and documentary programming across CEE. 

AMC Networks International – Central and Northern Europe has licenced a package of over 90 hours of factual entertainment and lifestyle programing, for its Spektrum Home channel in Hungary and for Spektrum in the Hungarian, Czech and Slovak territories. Factual entertainment titles include WORLD’S DEADLIEST (13 x 60’) which features footage of extraordinary moments where split second decisions can mean life or death. The series was produced by Back2Back Productions for 5Spike. The package also features several titles from The Weather Channel including HEROES AND SURVIVORS (8 x 60’) and SOS: HOW TO SURVIVE S1 & S2 (14 x 60’). Lifestyle programming includes WHERE TO I DO? S1& S2 (16 X 30’) produced by Bell Media Studios and Motion Content Group and CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE MED S1 & S2 (12 x 60’) from True North Productions for MORE4.  

In Poland, Polsat Café has picked up THE SEX CLINIC (6 x 60’) in which experts tackle young people's sexual health, with no subject too taboo. The series was produced by Firecracker Films for E4 in the UK. Other titles included documentaries PRICE OF FAME S1 & S2 (10 x 60’) from AMS Pictures for Reelz. 

TVN has acquired DR CHRISTIAN: 12 HOURS TO CURE YOUR STREET (10 x 60’) which follows Dr Christian Jessen as he uses a mobile clinic to treat individuals in their hometowns for the TLC channel in Poland. The series was produced by Firecracker Films for UKTV’s W channel.  Other titles include the award winning documentary series UNREPORTED WORLD S36 (8 x 30’) produced by Quicksilver for Channel 4. 

Elsewhere in the region, Xsport in the Ukraine has picked up ROBOT WARS S8-10 (22 x 60’) the national knockout competition to find the toughest, most advanced fighting robots in the country. The series was produced by Mentorn Media, SJP Media and BBC Studios for BBC Two.
