PASSION DISTRIBUTION AND SCRIPPS TRAVEL TO MIPTV WITH 200 NEW HOURS
2nd April 2014 - Scripps Networks International has just renewed their exclusive distribution agreement with Passion Distribution. The agreement sees Passion heading to Cannes with more than 200 hours of new to market content. Passion will be launching 12 new series and 9 returning series from Scripps’ US networks: HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country.
Passion is launching Food Network’s brand new format and finished food competition series RESTAURANT EXPRESS featuring Chef Robert Irvine (7 x 60’). The show takes nine aspiring restaurateurs on a culinary road trip where contestants will need to prove both their cooking skills and their business-savvy for a chance to win their own restaurant in Las Vegas. Top food competition format CUTTHROAT KITCHEN (Season 2-4: 52 x 60’) returns after a successful first season, and Food Network’s hidden camera show, RESTAURANT STAKEOUT, also returns with two new seasons (Season 4-5: 26 x 60’).
Home and property highlights include DIY Network’s hit series VANILLA ICE GOES AMISH (Season 1-2: 11 x 30’); pop icon Vanilla Ice leaves the comforts of home and his power tools behind to immerse himself in Amish country culture and learn the lost art of hand craftsmanship. Top titles from HGTV include ISLAND HUNTERS (22 x 30’), where buyers aren’t just looking for a new home but an entire island, and LIVING ALASKA, (Season 1-3: 40 x 30’) which follows couples as they decide if rural life in Alaska is for them. Passion is also launching new seasons of the surprise makeover property series KITCHEN CRASHERS (Season 5-6: 26 x 30’) and HOUSE CRASHERS (Season 9-10: 26 x 30’); previous seasons of HOUSE CRASHERS have been licenced into 96 territories.
Travel Channel’s GHOST ADVENTURES returns for its ninth season (Season 9: 13 x 60’), along with the special GHOST ADVENTURES: AFTERSHOCKS (13 x 60’), which checks in with the most memorable characters to see how their lives have changed since the GHOST ADVENTURES crew first visited their haunted homes.
