GSN STRIKES DEAL FOR PASSION DISTRIBUTION TO DISTRIBUTE NEW SHOWS AND FORMATS AT MIPCOM
25th September, 2012 - The US cablenet GSN has concluded a deal with Passion Distribution for the distributor to launch a GSN catalogue at MIPCOM. The catalogue will include new reality series and existing and long running formats/brands. GSN launched a new cooking competition series, BEAT THE CHEFS (8 X 60’), which premiered this summer and doubled the channels average for the period in all key demos. Passion Distribution will represent the completed series and also the format on behalf of the producer, RelativityREAL and GSN. The catalogue will also showcase new reality series PURE GOLD (currently planned for 8 x 30’) where gold assayers offer cash to customers who all have a story to tell why they are selling their precious items, plus the stories behind those items. The catalogue is a game-changer for Passion and will emphasise its presence in the format business with six game shows it will be bringing to market; everything from the traditional with a twist, the quirky and highly entertaining to the dating and relationship game show genre. Formats include INSTANT RECALL, FRIEND OR FOE, LOVE TRIANGLE, WINTUITION, LATE NIGHT LIARS and BALLBREAKERS.
