Produced for ITV1, Grimefighters pulled in a massive 25% share (4.5million) on its premier transmission beating BBC1 by 10% at 7.30pm and has continued to build on its success in the following weeks with a share of 27% in week two and 28% in week 3, consistently winning its slot. This shocking brand new series follows the hidden world of Clean up teams up and down the country. From Extreme cleaners to Pest controllers, Sewage clearance teams to restaurant inspectors, waste enforcement officers to even our trusted litter pickers. This series reveals the real life revolting, harrowing and disturbing dramas that on a daily basis confront our nations clean up teams. Watch in horror as these dedicated people tackle infestations of mice, cockroaches, angry wasps and rats in a takeaway to name just a few. Busting street urinators, cleaning up after squatters, delving into drug dens, stiring up revolting soup from the sewers - their enemy is the filth we create and the vermin that thrive on it - it is all in a day’s work for the Grimefighters.
