DIVORCE HOTEL GOES GLOBAL
– format deal now confirmed with RTL in the Netherlands!
12th December 2013 - Passion Distribution is excited to confirm RTL in the Netherlands is to make a local version of Passion’s cutting-edge format DIVORCE HOTEL.
Originally devised by A. Smith & Co. Productions for a major U.S. Network, DIVORCE HOTEL features couples in the throes of divorce, check in to the DIVORCE HOTEL for a speedy resolution. Each one hour episode follows one couple over the course of a weekend as they dive in to battle over the break-down of their marriage and splitting assets. A team of lawyers and experts work to unravel the union and avoid years of pain and turmoil. The emotional ups and downs of the process are intense and accusations fly but by the end of the weekend the couple is celebrating the conclusion of one of the most tumultuous chapters of their lives. The format provides for talking point television at its best with an uplifting and positive end to each hour.
The DIVORCE HOTEL format is based on the Dutch business of the same name that has made headlines around the world for its innovative concept, and the Dutch powerhouse RTL has signed a format deal to produce the show for its RTL 4 channel.
