MIPCOM 2019
Passion Distribution once again brought a slate of top quality programming to MIPCOM with one of our most exciting and premium line-ups yet. This year included some extraordinary human interest content including entertaining insights into Outrageous Weddings (Back2back Productions, 8 x 60’) ; Stacey Dooley spending weekends with people from unusual walks of life in Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over (Firecracker Films, 6 x 60’); and people considering changing their life altogether, with aspirational brand new format Twice the Life for Half the Price (Motion Content Group, 6 x 60’). Our new documentary series’ were also a strong feature of our MIPCOM 2019 slate. From the fascinating engineering series’ The Architecture the Railways Built (Brown Bob Productions, 10 x 60’) and Bridging the Expanse (Wild Bear Entertainment, 6 x 60’), to the insightful World’s Most Expensive Cruise (ITN Productions, 4 x 60’) and Secrets of Royal Travel (Lambent Productions, 2 x 60’). Emmy-winning phenomenon RuPaul’s Drag Race continued to play a huge role in our slate with a new US series, and, UK and Canadian local versions of this groundbreaking Drag Queens competition series too. Excitingly, we were also joined by RuPaul himself in Cannes as he deservedly received the Vanguard Variety Award!
