RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE SASHAYS ACROSS LATIN AMERICA

Miami, Tuesday 17th January 2017 - At Napte Miami 2017 Passion Distribution is delighted to announce sales of RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE in Latin America and across international territories.

VIMN Americas has acquired Season 8 of RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE for Comedy Central with the series due to air across the region this Spring.

Further deals for the series include Kanal 11 in Sweden for Season 5-7 of the series and Line TV in Thailand picking up Season 2-8 of the series. Season 8 is currently live on the popular AVOD platform with other seasons launching soon.

RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE is the reality competition television series which documents RuPaul in his search for "America's next drag superstar." RuPaul plays the role of host, mentor, and source of inspiration for this series, as contestants are given different challenges each week. RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE features a panel of judges, including RuPaul, Michelle Visage, Todrcik Hall, Ross Matthews, Carson Kressley and guest stars including Jessica Alba, Demi Lovato, Rebecca Romijn. In 2016 RuPaul Charles won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality Program. The series is produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV and has been renewed for its 9th season which is due to air in 2017.

Following the announcement of the second season of the Chilean local version of DRAG RACE known locally as The Switch – Drag Race: El Arte del Transformismo, Passion Distribution is discussing format options in four major territories across the world.
