HUMPHREY TO HEAD UP ACQUISITIONS AT PASSION DISTRIBUTION

London, Tuesday 19th July 2016 - Passion Distribution is delighted to announce the appointment of Jimmy Humphrey in the newly created role of Head of Acquisitions with effect from August 1st 2016.

 

Humphrey will help devise and implement Passion Distribution’s content strategy, overseeing the development, acquisitions and the distribution roll out of Passion Distribution programming, reporting to Passion Distribution’s CEO Emmanuelle Namiech.

 

Humphrey most recently worked at Banijay International, where he served as VP, Sales & Acquisitions, responsible for acquiring global rights to programmes and formats predominantly in the UK and Australia & NZ, as well as selling to Scandinavia, North America and Asia Pacific. Acquisitions included titles such as Billy Connolly’s Tracks Across America (7Wonder, ITV) and BBC’s Phone Shop Idol, whilst also establishing and managing exclusive partnerships with key partners such as Lambent Productions in the UK.

 

Humphrey has also held positions at FremantleMedia, where he was responsible for acquiring formats for their global network of production companies, and also at Shine International before its merger with Endemol.
