WORLD’S WORST DRIVER FORMAT SALES AT MIPTV 2015
Monday 20th April, London - Passion Distribution is delighted to announce a raft of sales of its top format WORLD’S WORST… at MIPTV 2015. New commissions include WORST DRIVER to Ztele (French-speaking Canada) and WORST HANDYMAN to MTV3 (Finland). WORST DRIVER has been re-commissioned by Kanal 5 (Sweden).
WORST DRIVER, originally produced by Mentorn Media, is the primetime reality format which is a spectacular and hilarious search for the most appalling driver in the nation. Each week viewers follow the frustrations and anxieties of inept, bad drivers who are nominated by their friends and family, as they compete in a series of driving challenges designed to uncover the nation’s ‘worst driver’.
Over 1,000 episodes have been produced worldwide of the format which has been a hit in over 20 countries including UK, USA, Canada, Germany, France and Brazil. Season 11 has been confirmed by Discovery Canada (English –speaking Canada).
WORST HANDYMAN, follows the country's most hapless home renovators who are given the opportunity of renovating a property. From planning and decoration through to demolition, we follow the emotional and physical journeys of the participants as they tackle a relentless series of do-it-yourself challenges. Under the guidance of our experts, the handymen take on a barrage of basic DIY challenges including plastering, plumbing, building custom made furniture, and even electrical. Once the projects are completed and the doors to the property swing open, the worst of the worst handymen is confirmed.
