London 17th November 2015 - Passion Distribution is delighted to announce a raft of sales following MIPCOM from across its factual, documentary and lifestyle titles. 

Nine Network in Australia has picked up US factual series - WEATHER GONE VIRAL (8 x 60’) which features some of the most terrifying footage of extreme weather action caught on camera. Nine Network has also acquired new documentaries RICH KIDS OF SOCIAL MEDIA (1 x 60’) and HOW THE RICH GET HITCHED (1 x 60’). RICH KIDS OF SOCIAL MEDIA produced by Popkorn TV for Channel 4,  delves into the real lives of the world’s most affluent youngsters looking at what drives them to flaunt pictures of luxuries that beyond most people’s wildest dreams. HOW THE RICH GET HITCHED, produced by Firecracker for Channel 4, follows wedding dress designer Caroline Castigliano and her team over the busy summer season, meeting brides-to-be for whom money is no object and who think nothing of spending over a hundred thousand pounds on their big day. 

BBC Worldwide ANZ has picked up TRAFFIC COPS S7-13 for BBC Knowledge New Zealand.  From producers Mentorn Media, TRAFFIC COPS, which airs on BBC1, has consistently been one of the most watched factual series on UK television. 

Passion has also concluded a license with Discovery Networks UK & Ireland for factual entertainment series PUT YOUR MONEY WHERE YOUR MOUTH IS, Reef Television’s top rating, long running BBC series.  Discovery has picked up three seasons, totalling 80 episodes.  The latest season of the series on BBC1 pulled in average audiences of 1.5million in its daytime slot with an average of 15-18% audience share. The series challenges television’s top antiques experts as they are put to the test and pitted against one another and challenged to make a profit. 

Digicast in Italy has picked up CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE SEA S2 (8 x 60’).  CHARLIE LUXTON’S HOMES BY THE SEA is a successful returning series which has been sold into over 140 territories worldwide.
