PASSION DISTRIBUTION APPOINTS EMMANUELLE NAMIECH AS CEO

London, Tuesday 9th March 2016 - Leading UK based distributor Passion Distribution, part of the fast growing, transatlantic super indie Tinopolis Group, is excited to announce  the appointment of Emmanuelle Namiech as its new CEO.

 

Namiech recently served as Managing Director of Banijay International, whereshe helped to transform the company’s distribution strategy and broaden its activity from focusing on formats to a wider portfolio of engaging factual, factual entertainment and scripted content from an expanded range of producers and broadcasters. In her role, she oversaw Banijay’s sales and acquisitions teams based in both London and LA.

 

Namiech will take over from founder and CEO, Sally Miles to lead the distribution company’s global strategy and focus on new and existing relations with content partners. She will work closely with Director of Global Sales, Elin Thomas and Managing Director, Nick Rees – who has played an instrumental role in building and growing the business since 2009 and will remain in charge of day to day operations.

 

With a career spanning nearly 20 years in international television sales and acquisitions, she has also held senior roles at Target Entertainment and FremantleMedia, where she was SVP of Content Acquisitions & Development. Prior to that she was Director of Acquisitions & Co-productions at ITV Studios Global Entertainment and played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth and profitability. She wasresponsible for the overall management of the company’s content and building its portfolio by acquiring, developing and investing in new programming across all genres. She also held a number of sales roles within Carlton and Granada International before they merged to form ITV Studios Global Entertainment.

 

Namiech is also actively involved in various not-for-profit organisations and has served as a business mentor to young entrepreneurs and a coach to senior executives through an independent, boutique coaching consultancy she set up in 2012.
