Following the huge success of the special on BBC One, this amazing new access-based series follows the journey of a group of supersize teens who are battling to shed hundreds of pounds at the Wellspring Academy - a pioneering residential weight-loss school in North Carolina, basically a Fat School for obese teens. Taking on the biggest challenge of their young lives they leave their friends and families behind as they try to lose weight, regain control of their bodies, and become the normal teens they are so desperate to be. Tenisha finds herself in the running for America’s Biggest Teenager. On film she weighs in at 510lbs. She is the heaviest teenager to ever sign on at the Wellspring Academy. Fifteen year old Scott is told he will die. The choice as his mother puts it is: Wellspring or we bury him. This is the school of last resort. Emotions run high and we see whether these teenagers can shed the weight and start a fresh life.
