When youngest daughter Emma appeared on the UK’s X-Factor the Chawner family hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons: hugely overweight and wearing a dress made by her dad, she was rejected no less than 3 times and won a spot on the ‘best of the worst’.

Weighing in at a combined total of over 90 stone (1260 lbs) the unemployed Chawners were ridiculed in the press as too fat to work. Now they have found their calling in this 6 episode reality show and will hit the gym in a challenge to lose the weight.

This series follows Mum Audrey 57, Dad Philip 54, and daughters Samantha 22 and Emma 20 as they take on the challenge to fight the fat, encouraged along the way by TV Presenter Lorraine Kelly.

Evicted from their home for her singing 19stone Emma is determined to lose weight so that she can audition again as a thin girl and, she believes, be one step closer to a recording contract. She has been invited to perform in front of an audience of 30,000 at the end of her diet - will she be laughed off the stage or will Simon Cowell wish he'd signed her up ? Dad has major health issues and was recently given 4-5 years to live if he doesn’t lose weight - there is a lot at stake.

With a team of fitness experts and nutritionists, the Chawner family are dragged off the sofa and put into action, weightlifting, swimming and walking. Their unhealthy diet is replaced with healthy salads and vegetables and the cameras roll...

But can they keep it up and for how long? Or will Lorraine’s greatest fears be confirmed? Do the family help each other or feed each others appetite for an unhealthy lifestyle?

Either way they shame an audience into action. You’ll think twice before you grab the remote and bread rolls!
